OVERVIEW :
A flagship course of the World Headache Society, a global society promoting headache education. A hybrid course covering the whole of headache medicine and headache interventions.
The first of its kind, this program enables clinicians treating headaches to get the best of didactic distance learning and teaching, along with hands-on training as part of a 2-week intensive clinical attachment and management of real-world patients at a headache centers, by some of the world’s best headache medicine teachers.
The only course in the world to provide both conventional headache medicine and advanced headache interventions seamlessly woven into a hybrid program with emphasis on distance learning as well as incorporating the much-needed clinic – and lab-based training methods. Those who complete the course are also elected and certified as Fellow of the World Headache Society (FWHS).
ELIGIBILITY :
- MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BNYS/ BHMS/ BSMS/ BUMS from a recognized university with registration in a licensing authority from any country recognized by the United Nations.
- Desirable entry specialization: Internal Medicine, Pain Medicine, Orofacial pain, Neurology, Neurosurgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Family Medicine
Completion of a residency in neurology, internal medicine, family medicine, or related specialties.
A valid medical license (specific to the country or region of the fellowship).
A demonstrated interest in headache medicine or related research.
Diagnosis and classification of primary and secondary headache disorders (e.g., migraines, cluster headaches, tension headaches).
Advanced pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
Procedures like botulinum toxin injections, nerve blocks, and infusion therapies.
Headache-related comorbidities and their management.
Clinical research and trials in headache medicine.
Headache specialty clinics.
Neurology departments.
Research laboratories focusing on headache disorders.
Participate in clinical trials.
Publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Present findings at national and international conferences.
Becoming a certified headache specialist (if applicable in your region).
